11:38 am - Fun Facts I figured I should post a real lj entry since all I have been doing lately is posting libs. Here are some updates: 1. Christmas - I am SO excited about Christmas. I am staying in Boston and having Christmas with Ty. We got our tree this weekend and have decorated it with all of the awesome ornaments I have managed to amass. My favorite is the knit octopus. We could only decorate the top half of the tree because the cat is constantly hunting the ornaments. I don't blame him, they do look an awful lot like his cat toys. 2. Human Giant - Everyone needs to watch human giant, but do NOT watch it at MTV's website. Human Giant is an amazing sketch comedy show with Paul Scheer (Donny the Page), Aziz Ansari, and Paul Huebel. It is exceptional. However, Ty and I could only find it at MTV.com, and that is an awful format for watching shows because they have a commercial literally every 3 minutes or so. It was intolerable. I recommend getting it from Netflix. 3. That Mitchell and Webb Look - This is another sketch comedy show that I cannot recommend enough. Especially to Claire and Elizabeth. However, it is a British show and I don't think you can get it on DVD here. If you have Netflix, the first season is on Netflix Instant so you can start watching right now!! It is fabulous!! 4. Slow Cooker - Ty bought a slow cooker on black Friday and I am ALL about it! Last night I put a pot roast and veggies in when we went to bed. It cooked for 10 hours while we slept and now I am going to have amazing pot roast for dinner tonight. I am such a little lady. 5. In a Pickle - This is a game similar-ish to Apples to Apples (it may even be made by the same company), but WAY better I think. It is a card game where all the cards are different kinds of nouns, and you have to fit things into other things. Like if I put down the card "cave" you have to put down a card that can fit inside the cave. The fun part is that you are encouraged to get very creative. Like I put down "headlights" to be in a mummy, because the headlights are boobs! Alex, Amy, Ty, and I played over Thanksgiving and we could not get enough of it. Plus it is only like $15 at Target. Get it immediately. 6. Classes - Next Tuesday my classes will be over! I am so excited. I am actually already done with one class, but I have my psych final next week. I can't wait. And I am totally getting all As this semester like a good little girl. 7. Houston - I am coming to Houston for a long weekend during the weekend of President's Day. I can't wait. I am having some serious Houston withdrawal. I feel like I haven't seen Burfy in a million zillion years, and I need to meet this boyfriend character of Hamm's. 8. Photoshop - I just took the training course that Harvard offers. It was two whole dayts of learning Photoshop and now I am obsessed with it. I wish I had some old family photos that were in depserate need of repair because I could photoshop the shit out of it. Instead I think I will photoshop a Santa Beard onto Hilo. Thank you, Harvard.
